Inloader semi-trailers
The structure is prepared for the transport of glass and large loads.
Specific design
The design of the trailers allows for a stand with glass panes to be placed inside, between its walls. In order to be able to place a stand (type A or L) inside the semi-trailer, the semi-trailer does not have classic axles placed under the floor of the normal loading area.
You could say that the glass trailer is "empty inside". When we open the back door, we see the ground she is standing on, not her floor. The so-called a gutter into which a stand (frame) with glass panes is inserted - hence the name: inloader.
The frame with glass "fills" the trailer, which means that it stiffens and stabilizes it in some way.
Optimized trailer weight
The semi-trailer is equipped with 6 independently suspended axle shafts.
The maximum pressure on each is 4.5 tons, which means a total of 27 tons and 12 tons on the clutch pin. So the total weight of the trailer with cargo can be a maximum of 39 tons.
The empty weight of the semi-trailer is around 8 tons. The relatively low weight of the semi-trailer was achieved by using high-strength steel, which allowed to reduce the thickness of the steel profiles used.
Although a semi-trailer can transport approximately 30 tons of glass, it should be remembered that in Poland the total weight of the set (tractor + semi-trailer + load) cannot exceed 40 tons.
Load and dimensions
The cargo box in inloader semi-trailers is approximately 7.5 m long, so it is possible to transport jumbo glass loads of 6 × 3.20 m and longer, e.g. up to 7 m long.
Safe transport system
In order to safely transport such a fragile load as glass, the inloader semi-trailer has a special device called Hydro-Push, which protects the load from moving while driving. This device has special "paws" that press the glass from both sides to the stand and keep the panes in the position in which they were loaded.
The system is also equipped with its own electric motor, pump, oil tank and a hand pump necessary in the event of a failure.
Placing the load
The stand with glass is placed using an electro-pneumatic system that allows the trailer to be raised or lowered.
This means that after driving up to the stand with glass, the semi-trailer is lowered to a height of approximately 9 cm, and the driver, reversing the vehicle, drives over the stand, which is slid into the gutter of the semi-trailer like a drawer. After placing the stand inside the trailer, it is raised to a height of approximately 45 cm and the glass is transported in this position.
Additional stabilizing element – door
The rear doors of the trailer also play a very important role - when closed, they fasten the sides of the trailer, stiffen and stabilize it. They are actuated pneumatically and have an additional safety mechanism.
POLCAR paint shop
The trailer is painted in keeping with the clients' company colors, i.e. the so-called corporate design.

Essential details
An internal, additional cotton tarpaulin, placed under the roof, protects the glass against condensing water. Some trailers also have a forced ventilation system installed to maintain appropriate humidity inside the trailer during transport.
It's not enough to drive, you have to brake
The traditional equipment of a glass semi-trailer is a braking system with ABS, electronic control EBS*), which also includes an RSS system that protects against excessive tilting of the semi-trailer, e.g. on bends or in other tight maneuvers.
The electrical system is equipped with side marker lamps, rear lamps, external and internal reflectors
